A noun is a name of person, place or a thing.

From the definition above, there are 3 categories of a noun:

1. Person 2. Place 3. Thing


There are 2 types of Nouns

1. Common Nouns (Names)

2. Proper Nouns (Names)


Characteristics of PROPER NOUNS (NAMES)

1. It may be a proper name of Person, Place or a Thing

2. It begins with a capital letter.

Examples:

Muhammad, Islam, Shariah, Jesus, Makkah, Qur’an


ALLAH (swt)

The proper Name of the One and Only True God worthy of worship.



What are the Tagalog articles
which can be used for Proper Names?

“Si” or “Ang”


Let us first discuss the Tagalog article

“SI”

This article has no equivalent in Arabic and English.

It is usually or normally omitted.


The Tagalog Article - “Si”
is used to determine and to distinguish that the object being referred to is a;

Human Being!

Uses of Article “Si”

1. Names of human beings

2. With human qualities

Or human concept

Christians believe that Jehovah or Yahweh is the name of the God Almighty who had a son.

The article “Si” is also used for any word used as Name of Humans

Riyadh is a name of a city in Saudi Arabia. If it is used as the name of a person, it uses the article “Si”.

ALHAMDULILLAH!!! Ang paglalahad na ito ni Bro Abu Khalid ay isang pagbubukas-isipan sa atin tungo sa wastong paggamit ng mga bahagi ng pananalita lalung-lalo na kapag tinutukoy natin ang Bukod-tanging Tagapaglikha -Ang Allah (swt). Lagi nating alalahanin na Ang Allah (swt) ay pangngalang pantangi at hindi pangalan ng tao kaya't nararapat lamang na gamitin ay "Ang" at hindi "Si" sapagkat ayon narin sa kahulugan ng mga pantukoy - ito'y mga salitang nagbibigay turing sa pangngalang tinutukoy. Ang Allah (swt) kailanman ay hindi pwedeng ituring na tao
